Company

Last 50 years

INNOVATION. TRADITION. PROFESSIONALISM
The future is built by applying principles such as constancy to enterprise, concreteness to dreams. The history of Texapel has its roots in the 70s when its founder, Dr Ermanno Gatti, combining his knowledge with important technical insights, founded a company that still inspires its work to this philopsophy. It is in the Wildman circular looms produced in America that the planning of Texapel begins to be woven, a company whose know-how is constantly evolving precisely because of that strong desire to experiment “all from Prato” which has always pushed to differentiate itself in style and efficiency . In the early 90s, Taxapel presented a new family of knitted textile items on the world market, unique in terms of structure and characteristics, unprecedented because they were completely made within the company with the help and skills of our team. This is a very important step for our history given that this very step led the Wildman – Mayer company to create a collaboration agreement with Texapel for the creation of a new circular machine dedicated to a specific category of fabrics that right in our laboratories have taken the name of “Loop”. Being projected into an important dimension of the textile production panorama and confirming its role year after year has led Texapel to look at its structure, its organization, its supply chain, its technologies and its work group with an always very attentive eye , understanding that it is precisely the passion for what we do, our most powerful engine.

SUPPLY CHAIN : Prato, belonging to a textile district

MEMBERSHIP. SAFETY. VALUE
Prato is considered one of the largest industrial districts in Italy, the largest textile center in Europe and one of the most important poles in the world for the production of woolen yarns and fabrics. The numbers of the Prato textile district state that it is made up of around 7,000 fashion companies (of which 2,000 in the textile sector in the strict sense). What differentiates us is quality, technique, speed, creativity, flexibility, highly specialized services, infrastructures and a unique innovative capacity which over the years has meant that this production system was increasingly based on excellence and linked to the luxury supply chain. We don’t want this to be a simple introduction because in our case it’s a real “reason why”. Being part of a supply chain like that of Prato means quality, it means efficiency, it means uniqueness. We have the rare advantage of being able to draw on important skills, guarantee multiple production capacities, know each of our partners in detail (subjected to careful checks like us) raise the standards of our creative processes and therefore the value of our collections and this not for mere reasons of technological renewal but for other, priceless reasons: tradition, love and knowledge of what is not a job but an art with a thousand facets

Made in Italy

CREATIVE EXCELLENCE. RESEARCH. RELIABILITY
“Made in Italy” has always been synonymous with quality, tradition, craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail. A brand that encompasses an entire culture known and appreciated all over the world and which is too often counterfeited. Much more than a simple label: Made in Italy in our sector is a cultural heritage that encompasses tradition, creativity, craftsmanship and the quality of Italian textile manufacturing. It is no coincidence that in 2010 the need was felt to legally protect this wording, and in fact the law establishes a mandatory labeling system which must highlight the place of origin of each processing stage, thus ensuring the traceability of the products themselves. For Texapel a pride and a point of commitment: investing in the technical knowledge of its team, in tools and machinery and in raw materials is the only viable way to maintain, increase and protect such an exclusive value, aware that when our products and our processes “go to the world” speak Italian, or rather Prato.

Digital Showcase

UPDATE. IMMEDIACY. MEMORY
If the upgrade of the technologies within our production process are aimed at finding better performance in safety, maintenance and in the way of working and the renewal linked to the technique and materials is aimed at making the new collections not simple “improvements” but profound revolutions, every innovation brought about in communication is something delicate and gradual. We have come to understand over the years that to involve means in fact to create. Create value, create knowledge, create memory. Over the years, Texapel has invested with great enthusiasm in the creation of a digital Showroom in which customers, agents, press and insiders could get to know our collections, from the roots to what will come…
